Director, Alastair McCaig is honoured to serve as the Head Coach of the U14s and three of our own (Arran 12, Fred 14, & Harry 17) have been part of the teams for over a decade.
Fern Wealth has supported the Zug Rugby Club and community for many years. From providing club training kits, match kits and coaches’ shirts, to bringing in rugby celebrities for open day inspiration such as Zander Fagerson, British & Irish Lion, Scotland International, and Glasgow Warriors star.
Zug Rugby Club has high standards and passionate coaches leading to a generous proportion of our older players gaining the opportunity to train with and play for the Swiss National Ruby Team.
Most recently six members of the Zug Rugby Club played for Switzerland in the U18 European championships which took part in Prague last season. This was an incredible accolade as it was the first time the Swiss team had qualified to play in this division.
The boys were honoured to play rugby at an International level and gained great experience by playing teams from across Europe throughout the week.
Zug Rugby Club is well represented in the Swiss National Team, with both captains of the Swiss U18 and Swiss 7s teams coming from Zug, and two talented female players from Zug on the Swiss U16s and U18s teams.
